Caustic Reverie on Cd Baby

Blogged in Music, Revenue, arts by TheForgotton Wednesday February 18, 2009 at about 11:24 PM

Since the Kunaki store generally sucks, I’m putting my stuff on CD Baby.
Absent, Mute, and Stochastic Resonance are for sale for $10.00 each, or $5.00 each if you buy all three. If there’s a good reaction, I’ll see about making the rest of the catalog available.

By all means, feel free to download and listen before you buy.

Shameless self-promotion: buy my album!

I’ve just got something in the mail that brightened my day: my first album in physical form! It’s now available from Kunaki for the reasonable price of $6.00 (pre-shipping), so you too can have the joy of finding one of these in your mailbox. The album is still available for free download from Jamendo and last.fm, so feel free to give it a test-drive before clicking the tantalizingly sexy BUY NOW button.

Pardon the amateur photography.

I’m looking into having it carried by CDBaby and possibly Amazon as well as a few specialty distros.

The ultimate fundraiser

Pay one dollar to remove one pixel from the censored box on this lovely image.

From the website:

Why are you doing this?

This website was created for a project in my advanced web design class. We’re exploring the realm of viral marketing, so essentially the more hits (and/or money) we get from our sites, the higher grade we get. As a side note, I’d like to make a statement about censorship on the Internet. Most of the money that is generated from this site WILL go to a donation to an internet censorship cause/charity. I’m not just trying to make an excuse to show off my stuff.

Where is the money going?

Some of this money will go towards paying off student loans, and saving for the future; However, a large percentage (at LEAST 50%) of it will be donated to a charity like EFF or savetheinternet.com (I haven’t decided as of yet.)

Why should I pay for this when I can see boobs anywhere on the net?

You have a chance to be a part of an Internet cultural “experiment”, help me get an A in my class, fight for a couple good causes, help me pay for college, AND see some sweet titties while doing all of this.

3-15-08 PARTY HARD!

Blogged in General, Religion, Revenue, Scone by TheForgotton Friday March 14, 2008 at about 9:42 PM

Operation: Party Hard kicks off today and thousands of members of Anonymous are taking to the streets worldwide and throwing LRH a birthday bash.

Previous posts are here and here if you want a little background. The thing with the masks is because of the CoS’s fair game policy, not a viral advertising campaign for V for Vendetta.

February 10th: a victory for Anonymous

Blogged in General, Religion, Revenue by TheForgotton Tuesday February 12, 2008 at about 9:33 PM

No, I’m not talking about the Quebecois thrash band, I’m talking about a group of people uniting to raise awareness of the truly fucking evil cult of Scientology by staging protests worldwide. Thousands of masked Anonymous members picketed outside of Scientology offices around the world with signs asking people to google terms like Operation Snow White, “Operation Freak Out” and auditing process r2-45.

I thought the Corporation of Scientology was just another silly UFO cult after reading a summary of the Space Opera , but a little deeper research leads to much scarier rabbit hole, one that you could fly a DC-8 through.

edit: I’ve taken out the video as this isn’t the final cut.
